Job summary

CardWorks Financial Group seeks a VP, Controller, Head of Financial Reporting and Consolidation to lead our US GAAP financial reporting, consolidation, equity and compensation accounting. This role ensures accuracy and timeliness of statements and external disclosures, working closely with Legal, HR, IT and external auditors.

The position covers monthly, quarterly and annual closes, internal controls, SOX, system management (Oracle, FCCS, Workiva, Smart View), and policy development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and active CPA.
• 15+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with financial consolidation, payroll and benefits accounting, incentive compensation, and equity reporting.
• Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Experience managing financial reporting systems (Oracle, FCCS, Workiva, Smart View).

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and external deliverables.
• Oversee U.S. GAAP financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures, including SEC filings.
• Manage quarterly reviews and annual financial statement audits with external auditors.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial statements and external communications.
• Oversee financial consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and consolidation adjustments.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and technical guidance.
• Manage financial reporting systems and drive automation improvements.
