Job summary

CardWorks Financial Group is seeking a high-impact VP, Controller, Head of Financial Reporting and Consolidation in the NY metro area. This executive will oversee financial reporting, consolidation, equity and compensation accounting, and external disclosures to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with US GAAP.

The role collaborates with Legal, HR, IT, and auditors to strengthen controls, improve close timelines, and enhance reporting systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and active CPA license.
15+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting.
Experience preparing SEC filings and coordinating audits.
Leadership, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and external deliverables.
Oversee US GAAP financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures.
Manage quarterly reviews and annual audits; coordinate with auditors.
Maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and close processes.
Lead consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and equity/compensation accounting.
