Job summary

Kforce is assisting a fast-growing NJ-based tech firm in finding a VP Controller who will report to the CFO and lead a team of accounting professionals. The role emphasizes SEC compliance, GAAP, and strong internal controls, with a compensation package that includes equity and a hybrid work schedule.

The successful candidate will oversee financial reporting, footnotes, disclosures, and Form 10-K/10-Q filings, while collaborating across the organization to uphold rigorous accounting standards.

Qualifications

• CPA required; 12+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with Financial Reporting and SEC compliance including 10-K/10-Q filings and XBRL.
• Deep working knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606/842/805.
• ERP/GL systems expertise (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft) and SEC tools like Wdesk.

Responsibilities

• Report to CFO and lead accounting team in a fast-growing NJ-based tech firm.
• Oversee SEC filings, detailed financial statements, and disclosures.
• Develop and maintain internal controls over financial reporting and compliance.
• Collaborate with CPA's and accounting professionals to drive accuracy and timeliness.
