Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics LLC seeks a Vice President of Operations - Contract Logistics to lead contract logistics across multiple facilities in Houston and beyond. You will set strategic direction, drive KPIs, and manage financial performance, safety, and quality while delivering scalable, client-centric services.

The role requires a strong track record in senior leadership, P&L ownership, and working with major customers and executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in contract logistics, warehousing, distribution, fulfillment, supply chain, or related operations.
• 5+ years of senior leadership experience managing multi-site operations.
• Proven experience with P&L ownership and financial management.
• Experience working directly with major customers and executive-level stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, fulfillment, distribution, labor management, and operational technology.
• Experience with customer implementations, transitions, expansions, or new site launches preferred.
• Strong analytical, financial, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel regularly between facilities and customer locations.
• Strategic and operational leadership; accountability and results orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for contract logistics operations across multiple facilities.
• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company objectives and customer requirements.
• Establish and monitor operational standards, KPIs, service-level expectations, and performance objectives.
• Drive standardization of processes and best practices across locations while allowing client-specific flexibility.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, safety, and service quality.
• Own operational financial performance, labor, OPEX, productivity, profitability, and P&L.
• Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and corrective actions.
• Drive cost control and productivity initiatives while maintaining service quality.
• Lead safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with HR for workforce strategy and leadership development.
