Job summary

Dort Financial Credit Union in Grand Blanc, MI seeks a strategic Vice President of Consumer Lending to lead all consumer lending activities, including underwriting, processing, closing, and vendor management, while aligning risk controls with corporate objectives.

You will drive service excellence, develop resources, and steer initiatives in collaboration with the EVP, Member Experience to strengthen community relationships and member value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 15 years of management experience, preferably in a credit union or financial institution with 10 years in Consumer Lending.
• Minimum 10 years of management or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct Consumer Lending teams and processes.
• Oversee loan applications, underwriting, processing, and closing activities.
• Oversee third-party vendor management and LOS configuration.
• Deploy internal credit risk controls and allocate resources.
• Drive strategic initiatives and improve service to members.
