Dort Financial Credit Union in Grand Blanc, MI seeks a strategic Vice President of Consumer Lending to lead all consumer lending activities, including underwriting, processing, closing, and vendor management, while aligning risk controls with corporate objectives.

You will drive service excellence, develop resources, and steer initiatives in collaboration with the EVP, Member Experience to strengthen community relationships and member value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 15 years of management experience, preferably in a credit union or financial institution with 10 years in Consumer Lending.
• Minimum 10 years of management or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct Consumer Lending teams and processes.

Purpose of Position: The Vice President of Consumer Lending will be responsible for managing & directing Consumer Lending teams. This position will oversee processes for all consumer lending activities which include but are not limited to loan applications, underwriting, processing, closing, third-party vendor management, loan origination system configuration, and deploying internal credit risk controls, while allocating appropriate resources. The Vice President of Consumer Lending will ensure service directives are met while working to uncover additional opportunities to improve service to our internal and external members. The director will also drive strategic initiatives within their business line. This position will assist the EVP, Member Experience with planning and strategic initiatives.

Minimum Formal Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.

Experience:

• 15 years of management, preferrable in a credit union or financial institution with 10 years experience in Consumer Lending.
• Minimum 10 years of management or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
