Job summary

Easterseals DC MD VA (ESDCMDVA) in Silver Spring, MD seeks a VP of Communications & Marketing to lead the unified brand strategy, drive enrollment and donor engagement, and report to the President/CEO as a member of the SLT.

The role requires leadership across paid, owned, and earned channels, executive communications, and budget oversight, guiding a talented team toward measurable growth and community impact.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated strategic leadership of marketing and communications function with metrics-based management.
• Strong understanding of paid, owned, and earned marketing channels.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills with executive presence.
• Passion for the Easterseals mission.
• Experience overseeing and tracking budgets.
• At least ten years of marketing and communications experience.
• At least five years of management experience.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military service experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing plans and budgets across channels.
• Lead the Communications & Marketing team and SLT collaboration.
• Engage with media, reporters, and editorial partners.
• Coordinate with Board and Marketing Committee; provide regular performance reports.
• Drive awareness, enrollment, donor support, and recruiting.
