Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related field.
• Minimum ten years of progressive commercial lending and management experience.
• Minimum two years of commercial underwriting experience.
• Experience in the credit union industry and lending regulations.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proven leadership of diverse teams and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Lending Officer in overseeing commercial lending and business deposit programs.
• Lead origination, processing, underwriting, closing/funding, and servicing of loans.
• Develop long-range strategies and manage day-to-day operations of the department.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Prepare annual department budget and negotiate contracts.
• Research new lending products and drive process improvements and cost efficiencies.
• Develop training and performance programs for department staff.
• Set and achieve production goals aligned with credit union objectives.
• Evaluate new lending opportunities and expand lending programs as needed.
• Collaborate with data analytics and BI teams for reporting and insights.
• Lead enterprise-wide initiatives including product development and cost optimization.
