Job summary

Centene Corporation seeks a senior leader to develop, implement, and oversee the pharmacy benefit management program across multiple product lines and locations. This role ensures compliance with contractual guidelines and regulatory requirements while driving quality and affordability.

The position leads enterprise clinical operations, formulary strategy, and pharmacy governance, partnering with multiple teams to optimize access and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required.
• PharmD preferred.
• 10+ years of clinical pharmacy care experience.
• Thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical care and PBM practices.
• Management experience including hiring, training and performance management.
• Quality improvement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise leadership for pharmacy clinical operations including P&T governance, formulary strategy and policy oversight.
• Lead pharmacy trend management, high-cost therapy strategies and manufacturer relationship management.
• Partner cross-functionally with Pharmacy, Product, Actuary, Medical Affairs, Compliance and Market teams to develop enterprise pharmacy strategies.
• Oversee strategic planning for emerging therapies, formulary performance and spend management.
• Evaluate program performance and recommend changes to improve costs and quality to states.
• Develop and attain Pharmacy AOP initiatives and PMPM goals.
• Establish strategic vision, objectives and policies for the pharmacy program aligned with corporate strategy.
• Participate in accreditation initiatives, boards, task forces and committees.
• Manage vendor relationships with key partners and pharmaceutical companies.
• Other duties as assigned and ensure compliance with policies.
