Responsibilities

  • Maintain a forward-looking, portfolio-wide view of product innovation, technology trends, and market dynamics across managed partners.

  • Partner with Finance to ensure profitability and regulatory compliance.
  • Track portfolio performance and report to senior leadership.
  • Represent Client Solutions in cross-functional forums to ensure compliant and sound solutions.
  • Ensure smooth handoff from sell-in to implementation and post-launch performance.
  • Champion standards for documentation, governance, and quality across engagements.
  • Lead integration of multiple teams into one organization; set shared standards.
  • Build and coach a bench of leaders; set goals and succession plans.
  • Own the team's operating rhythm: pipeline reviews and prioritization.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the VP Client Solutions will set the vision and strategy for how Asurion develops, sells in, and scales complex client solutions across our a multiple partner portfolio. The VP will lead a team to ensure product roadmaps align to each partner's long-term business plan, drive profitable growth, and build one consistent operating model across the newly combined organization. This is a highly visible role that blends people leadership, product strategy, and executive-level client relationship management.

ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS/DUTIES
Portfolio Strategy & Product Roadmaps
  • Maintain a forward-looking, portfolio-wide view of product innovation, technology trends, and competitive/market dynamics across all managed partners
  • Direct the development and maintenance of multi-year product roadmaps (in-market enhancements, 12-18 month refreshes, 3-year new concepts) for every partner in the portfolio
  • Ensure roadmaps and prioritization decisions ladder up to Asurion's broader corporate strategy and to each partner's individual business plan
  • Serve as the senior liaison with Product teams to shape and influence enterprise product direction
Sell-In & Executive Client Relationships
  • Serve as the senior Asurion leader accountable for the sell-in of new product and solution opportunities across the portfolio
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior and C-level stakeholders at partner organizations; act as the escalation point for complex or high-stakes opportunities
  • Guide teams in scoping client opportunities and translating client needs into compelling product constructs and value propositions
  • Review and approve high-stakes, client-facing materials (presentations, proposals, demos, mockups) ahead of executive-level delivery
  • Personally lead or co-lead the organization's most strategic sell-in efforts and executive presentations
Business Case, Pricing & Financial Ownership
  • Own the financial rigor of the Client Solutions organization, reviewing and approving business cases, pricing assumptions, and deal economics for significant initiatives
  • Partner with Finance and Pricing leadership to ensure solutions maximize profitability for Asurion while remaining competitive for partners and compliant with regulatory requirements
  • Track and report portfolio-level performance (revenue, margin, pipeline) to senior leadership
Cross-Functional & Implementation Leadership
  • Represent Client Solutions in cross-functional forums with Legal, Regulatory, IT, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Operations to ensure solutions are compliant and operationally sound
  • Ensure a smooth handoff from sell-in to implementation, and hold the team accountable for post-launch performance and continuous improvement
  • Champion consistent standards for documentation, governance, and quality across all partner engagements
Organizational Leadership
  • Lead the integration of two previously separate Client Solutions teams into one organization, establishing shared standards, tools, and ways of working
  • Build, coach, and retain a bench of talented team members; set clear goals, deliver regular feedback, and build succession plans
  • Own the team's operating rhythm, including pipeline reviews, cross-partner resourcing and prioritization, and performance management
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Deep knowledge of and genuine interest in technology relevant to Mobile, Telecom, Devices, Connectivity, and Cloud, along with emerging areas such as IoT, 5G-enabled services, and Edge Computing
  • Strong understanding of the Asurion portfolio of products and services
  • Working knowledge of insurance business models and regulatory frameworks
  • Demonstrated financial acumen; ability to evaluate business cases, pricing models, and profitability levers across a portfolio of partners
  • Experience with consultative, highly technical solution selling
REQUIRED SOFT/LEADERSHIP SKILLS
  • Proven people leadership, including experience building, managing, and developing managers or senior leaders, not individual contributors alone
  • Change management and organizational design skills, particularly integrating or scaling teams
  • Executive presence, with the ability to influence and build credibility with senior client and internal executives
  • Strategic thinking, with the ability to translate ambiguity and competing priorities into clear direction
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and influence across all business functions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to distill complex information for executive audiences
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree required

  • 12 to 15+ years of experience in product, technology, and business-related roles, including client/account management or product development
  • 5+ years of experience directly leading and developing managers or senior leaders
  • Demonstrated track record leading complex, consultative sell-in efforts with enterprise clients or partners
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Master's degree or MBA

  • Experience within the insurance, device protection, or extended warranty industry
  • Existing relationships within major telecom or retail partners
  • Experience leading organizational integration, restructuring, or scaling of a client-facing team
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly manages Senior Directors, Directors, Senior Managers, and indirectly manages their direct reports
