Job summary

DaVita is seeking a dynamic executive to serve as Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). You will lead DaVita’s global cybersecurity vision, information security operations, and regulatory compliance, protecting patient data and clinical systems across 2,800+ centers and corporate environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• 15+ years of progressive experience in information technology and cybersecurity, with at least 7+ years in executive leadership (VP, CISO, or equivalent).
• Demonstrated track record leading enterprise cybersecurity in large, complex, regulated environments (Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Financial Services preferred).
• Deep expertise across security operations, threat detection, incident management, cloud security, and regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, SOX, NIST).
• Proven experience presenting cyber risk, security roadmaps, and investment justifications to C‑suite leaders and Board committees.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute a multi-year enterprise cybersecurity and risk management strategy.
• Drive architectural modernization including Zero Trust, IAM, and cloud security frameworks (AWS, Azure, multi-tenant SaaS).
• Establish governance and risk assessments for emerging technologies like Generative AI and IoT devices.
• Direct 24/7 Security Operations (SecOps), SIEM, vulnerability management and threat intelligence.
• Lead incident response, cyber crisis management and disaster recovery planning.
