A leading healthcare organization in Houston is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer. This executive-level role involves overseeing enterprise security systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and managing a team of security professionals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Cyber Security, particularly within healthcare or federal government sectors, and possess strong leadership skills.
This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer and has a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Executive Vice President, Chief Compliance and Risk Officer (CCRO). The role involves ensuring conflicts between the interests of the CCISO and CIO are managed appropriately. The position reports regularly to Harris Health's CEO and Board of Trustees on Information Security matters, including training and breaches.
The executive-level role involves developing and enforcing policies and strategies to safeguard against cyber threats and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA / HITECH. The CISO oversees the planning and execution of enterprise security systems, managing analysts, engineers, and architects. As a business enabler, the CISO ensures security policies support business decisions without hindering operations.
