Job summary

Kunin Technologies in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking a Senior Capital Projects Lead to own the delivery of a group 14 metal chlorination plant from basic engineering through commissioning. You will coordinate with the CEO, VP of Engineering, and partner site teams, selecting partners, managing schedules, and controlling costs to meet a Q1 2028 COD.

The role requires 10+ years in chemical capital projects, EPC/EPCM oversight, overseas program experience, and strong problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical or civil engineering.
• 10+ years delivering chemical, hydrometallurgical or specialty-gas capital projects.
• Managed an EPC/EPCM contractor and a fabricator on a modular, skid-built plant.
• Experience delivering projects overseas with local contractors.
• Chlorine or hydrogen chloride service experience preferred.
• Ability to work in fast paced and demanding atmosphere.
• Creative problem solving across engineering, contracting, cost control and field execution.

Responsibilities

• Overall delivery of the group 14 metal chlorination plant: scope, schedule, cost, quality and HSE from basic engineering to handover.
• Select and manage partner-country engineering/contractors and modular skid fabricator; bid evaluation and contract admin.
• Prepare Class 3 capital and operating cost estimate; manage project budget and monthly reports to JV board.
• Maintain integrated schedule across development, engineering, procurement, fabrication, civil works, training and commissioning.
• Lead mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning with VP of Engineering to achieve performance test and COD.
• Lead front-end studies for next plants with multi-class estimates running in parallel with first plant delivery.
