Job summary

Milton Hershey School seeks an executive Vice President of Operations to oversee one of the nation’s largest residential campuses. The role drives operational strategy, facilities management, safety, and shared services to support 2,200 students and a vast campus portfolio.

Reporting to the President, you will lead multi-year capital planning, risk management, and high-performing teams while advancing the school’s mission and values through exceptional service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred in related fields.
• Ten+ years of progressive leadership experience at senior operational level.
• Proven track record managing facilities, construction, campus services, safety, and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Translate institutional strategy into actionable operational plans.
• Lead enterprise operations with clear performance measures and fiscal stewardship.
• Direct campus master planning, facilities strategy, and capital projects.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and regulatory readiness across operations.
• Oversee facilities, maintenance, grounds, construction, food and clothing services, and safety.
• Drive innovation, technology adoption, and process improvement.
• Lead multi-year capital planning aligned with institutional goals.
• Develop leaders through coaching and succession planning.
• Strengthen resilience via crisis management and business continuity.
