Job summary

State Street is seeking a VP, Business Architect to lead the business architecture function for its Investment Management division. You will align business capabilities and operating models with the PPS initiative, guiding architects and technology teams through enterprise transformation.

You will collaborate with senior leaders to translate strategy into actionable technology roadmaps, contribute to governance, and mentor a growing team of architects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in business/solution/enterprise architecture or strategic transformation, investment management or financial services preferred.
• Proven ability to support architecture functions in complex, matrixed organizations.
• Experience with cloud platforms and enterprise transformation programs.

Responsibilities

• Establish and mature a scalable business architecture function enabling enterprise-wide transformation.
• Design and maintain capability models, value streams and operating models aligned with strategy.
• Partner with business and tech leaders to align strategy, operating models and investments.
• Support PPS operating model adoption by embedding business architecture principles.
• Provide governance and thought leadership for transformation programs.
• Develop deliverables like capability maps, value streams, and investment roadmaps.
• Support strategic planning, innovation and change management.
• Collaborate with solution architects, product managers and delivery teams to realize outcomes.
• Mentor junior business architects and foster a high-performance culture.
