Job summary

JPMorganChase, based in Seattle, seeks a Vice President, Applied AI and Machine Learning Lead within Payments Technology to own end-to-end document extraction and NLP initiatives. Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in applied AI/ML concepts with 3+ years of applied experience.
• 3+ years of delivering ML/NLP solutions with measurable production outcomes.
• Strong programming in Python with modern ML frameworks and production experience.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of document extraction and NLP solutions from sizing to rollout.
• Design scalable model pipelines for ingestion, text extraction, classification, and ranking.
• Develop NLP algorithms to extract entities, relationships, and signals from text/docs.
• Define evaluation strategies including offline validation and online measurement.
• Establish model lifecycle practices: reproducibility, testing, monitoring, drift detection, incident response.
• Partner with risk/compliance to ensure proper documentation and audit-ready processes.
• Drive technical decisions through reviews and pragmatic standards to raise quality and delivery velocity.
• Communicate tradeoffs and business impact to senior stakeholders.
