Job summary

Resolution Life Group Services Limited seeks a VP, Alternative Investments Accounting to steer GAAP/Statutory close, reporting, and analytics for the alternative investments portfolio, including funds and mortgage loans.

You will lead monthly closes, govern the accounting model with a third-party vendor, and deliver executive insights through analytics packages for finance leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years in accounting with at least 6+ years in investment accounting or insurance.
• Expertise in U.S. GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles for complex investments.
• Experience with Clearwater Analytics or similar investment accounting models.
• Strong research, verbal, and written communication for senior leadership.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to coach across functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting close for investment funds and mortgage loans; oversee team and vendor.
• Govern balance sheet and income statement attribution and variance analyses.
• Own vendor governance and performance reviews.
• Document technical accounting conclusions, including VIE analyses.
• Review footnotes and schedules for GAAP and statutory financial statements.
• Collaborate with Investment Front Office on new strategies and accounting implications.
• Evaluate results and provide executive analytics to finance leaders.
• Identify and review complex manual journal entries for accuracy.
• Act as accounting advisor to Investment Management and asset managers.
• Enhance internal controls; drive process transformation and automation.
