Job summary

Mastercard seeks a Senior Vice President of Software Engineering for the Decision Stream team, a cloud-native, AI-native decisioning platform. You will partner with Product Co-Founder to drive strategic technology investments and scale engineering across distributed systems at Mastercard scale.

You will lead a high-performance, cross-functional organization, embedding ownership, speed, and accountability while delivering high availability, security, and measurable outcomes across payments risk

Qualifications

• Engineering leadership experience.
• Proven experience building and scaling large-scale distributed platforms.
• Deep expertise in cloud-native architecture, microservices, event-driven systems.
• Demonstrated success leading engineering organizations through transformation and growth.
• Experience delivering platforms requiring high availability, resiliency, and performance at significant scale.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience with AI/ML product platforms and streaming architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering vision for Decision Stream.
• Drive priorities, investment decisions, and platform evolution.
• Build scale across platform engineering, AI, distributed systems.
• Partner with Product Co-Founder to align investments with outcomes.
• Oversee MVP validation, commercialization, and adoption.
• Establish metrics, governance, and operating rhythms.
• Foster rapid iteration and accountable teams.
