Job summary
Harris School Solutions is seeking a Vice President of Research & Development to own and drive AI-enabled growth for our FINS SaaS products across the K12 sector. This senior leader will manage a large distributed team, shape the AI roadmap, and oversee delivery across multiple product lines.
The role requires hands-on software leadership, strong governance, and the ability to balance innovation with robust data privacy and compliance in public sector deployments.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of management experience leading software development teams.
- P&L experience.
- Portfolio management of multiple products and tech stacks.
- Hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and demonstrated experience delivering AI or machine-learning capabilities into production software.
Responsibilities
- Translate business goals and product requirements into actionable development plans with a clear AI roadmap.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget using AI-assisted development and testing.
- Provide strategic direction and control of product development activities and contribute to unit strategy.
- Drive adoption of AI developer tooling and measure productivity and quality results.
- Lead AI-enabled capabilities for K12 finance, HR, and admin workflows.
