Job summary

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is seeking a Software Engineer, VP, to design scalable backend services with Java Spring Cloud, develop AI-powered applications in Python, and integrate LLMs into enterprise systems.

You will work across cloud AWS, microservices, React frontend, and CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with architects and product teams in a hybrid work model with four on-site days and one remote day per week. A Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience are typically required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Java (11/17), Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Develop AI-powered applications and autonomous agents using Python and modern AI frameworks.
• Design and implement Agentic AI solutions capable of planning, reasoning, orchestration, and tool invocation.
• Build and integrate AI agents with enterprise systems using REST APIs, GraphQL, MCP, and event-driven architectures.
• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) such as Amazon Nova, Anthropic Claude, or OpenAI models into enterprise applications.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS using Lambda, EKS, EC2, S3, SNS, SQS, IAM, and API Gateway.
• Build responsive web applications using ReactJS and TypeScript.
• Design high-performance relational database solutions using Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or DB2.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Ensure application reliability through observability using Splunk, Datadog, or CloudWatch.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable enterprise solutions.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Amazon Kiro, or similar developer productivity tools.
