Job summary

Town & Country Credit Union seeks a VP, Agricultural Loan Officer to manage a growing portfolio of farm and agribusiness loans. You’ll travel to farms, assess needs, structure financing, and deliver tailored solutions that support member success.

Ideal candidate has 7+ years in agribusiness lending, strong financial analysis, and excellent relationship skills. ND license preferred; equal opportunity employer; competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Agricultural Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years in agribusiness, farming, or agricultural lending.
• North Dakota crop hail insurance license preferred but not required.
• Strong financial and mathematical skills, including loan amortization, interest calculations, and risk assessment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
• Proven ability to build trust and long-term relationships with members.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative financial packages based on member needs, pricing competitively based on risk and profitability.
• Advise members on loan decisions and financial strategies by interpreting balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow projections, while providing expert guidance on their current financial position and future credit needs.
• Build and manage a high-quality agricultural loan portfolio to meet growth, production, and credit quality targets.
• Promote and sell loan products, while cross-selling additional products and services that support long-term member success.
• Generate new business by facilitating cold and warm outreach, nurturing leads, and guiding prospects through the sales process.
• Collaborate with credit analysts to review and present credit packages and participate in the consensus decision-making process.
• Structure loan terms and prepare proposals while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations; monitor loan performance and address delinquencies.
• Engage with industry groups, participate in ag-related events, and maintain a strong professional presence in the agricultural community.
• Travel regularly to farms and agricultural sites for visits, assessments, and relationship development.
