Job summary

Eli Lilly and Company seeks an Associate Vice President to lead Agentic AI Development across CMC and related disciplines. This role centers on building an autonomous development platform, guiding strategy, architecture and cross-functional delivery to transform drug development with AI-enabled workflows.

Ideal candidates will have a PhD, 15+ years of tech leadership, and a track record deploying enterprise AI.

Qualifications

PhD in Computer Science or related field is required.
15+ years of progressive leadership in technology, AI or scientific organizations.
Experience deploying enterprise AI systems in regulated environments.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across pharma, tech and regulatory domains.
Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical visions into business value.

Responsibilities

Set the AI strategy and roadmap for agentic AI across DDCS/PRD.
Lead architecture of an enterprise-scale platform with multi-agent orchestration and LLMs.
Build and lead a world-class AI team across science, software and product.
Deliver end-to-end agentic solutions across development workflows and regulatory content generation.
Drive cross-functional delivery with partners in quality, manufacturing and regulatory.
Define ROI, business case and success metrics for AI initiatives and adoption.
