Job summary

LPL Financial is seeking a Vice President of Product Management for Advisory Platforms within its Wealth Management Products organization. This role leads strategy, roadmapping, and delivery of platform capabilities across advisor workflows and the partner ecosystem, including tax overlay services.

You will drive cross-functional teams, manage vendor relationships, and set KPIs to measure adoption and growth, with executive-level reporting and collaboration with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in product management, management consulting, investment management, or program and project management, preferably within financial services or a related FinTech firm.
• 5+ years leading cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, including experience driving PI planning and delivery with technology partners.
• 5+ years experience with advisory or managed account platforms — advisor workflows, trading and rebalancing, or UMA/SMA account structures.
• 5+ years experience with tax overlay, tax-managed, or tax-aware portfolio management capabilities strongly preferred — including tax-loss harvesting, transition management, or overlay management services.

Responsibilities

• Shape the Advisory Platforms strategy and vision and own its end-to-end execution.
• Translate strategy into a 6-24 month roadmap with themes, outcomes, and value drivers.
• Define and drive the tax overlay build-out and related capabilities at scale.
• Partner with advisors, business stakeholders, and vendors to define capability sets and sequencing.
• Lead PI planning and delivery with technology partners to ensure clear objectives and managed dependencies.
• Own vendor relationships, including evaluation, selection, and contract discussions.
• Design end-to-end operating models for new capabilities with Legal, Risk, and Compliance involvement.
• Align prioritization and delivery with adjacent teams to minimize impact on commitments.
• Define capabilities needed to run the advisory business and drive enablement with field and service partners.
• Lead cross-functional teams without direct authority and present options to leadership.
• Define KPIs and create SVP+ level reporting and presentations for strategy and growth.
