Job Title: VP Accounting or Corporate Controller

Compensation: Up to $225K + Bonus/Equity

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid - 3x a week onsite)

As they scale, they seek a VP Accounting to lead their accounting function and drive financial excellence.

Details:

This is a high-impact role for an experienced VP Accounting who thrives in a fast-paced, consumer-driven environment. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the company, ensuring strong financial controls, and optimizing accounting processes in a high-growth setting. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who understands the complexities of inventory accounting, CPG operations, and large ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and lead the accounting function, including month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance.
  2. Own all aspects of inventory accounting, ensuring accurate costing, valuation, and reconciliation.
  3. Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls as the company scales.
  4. Lead the implementation and optimization of large ERP systems to drive efficiency and scalability.
  5. Provide strategic financial insights to leadership, supporting key decisions on growth, expansion, and profitability.
  6. Partner cross-functionally with supply chain, operations, and FP&A teams to optimize financial performance.
  7. Manage audits, banking relationships, and financial risk assessments.

Does Your Background Work?

  1. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a Director of Accounting, Assistant Controller OR Controller role.
  2. Strong inventory accounting expertise within a CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) environment.
  3. Experience with large ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, or similar).
  4. CPA and/or Public Accounting is preferred but not required.
  5. Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
  6. Strong leadership skills and the ability to build and mentor a team.
