Job summary

Jobtailor in Greensboro, NC seeks a senior accounting leader to manage accounting operations, consolidate statements, and oversee GAAP reporting. You will partner with investment and treasury to support funds management and maintain strong internal controls.

The role requires CPA and eight+ years in accounting/finance, with Prolog GL experience and Tableau skills preferred. Bachelor's degree mandatory; Master’s a plus. This is a leadership position within the finance team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations and finance functions.
• Direct consolidation of financial statements.
• Lead CUSO reporting, budgets, and FP&A.
• Collaborate with investment and treasury on policy and funds.
• Maintain GAAP-compliant reporting to board and regulators.
• Supervise reconciliations and internal controls.
• Coordinate internal and CPA audits, NCCUD/NCUA examinations.
• Assist CFO with financial analysis and forecasting
• Prepare annual operating budget with Controller.

Job description

• Responsible for all accounting operations, finance and investment accounting functions


• Directly compiles consolidated financial statements


• Oversees CUSO reporting, budgets, and financial planning and analytics


• Partner closely with the investment and treasury teams to support policy compliance and funds management functions


• Maintain accurate, GAAP-compliant reporting of all financial data to the board, management, regulatory agencies, member-owners and the public


• Supervise and review accounting reconciliations to ensure accurate records of the organization’s finance function within established deadlines


• Ensure all financial accounting procedures and internal controls are in place and regularly reviewed


• Manage preparation and coordination for financial internal audits, CPA audits, and NCCUD/NCUA examinations


• Assist the CFO and management team with analyzing financial information and forecasting future financial conditions and performance


• Direct the preparation of the annual operating budget in collaboration with the Controller of Accounting Operations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BS) in accounting, finance, or related field (Masters' a plus)


• four-to-ten years of progressively responsible experience in accounting and finance-based functions


• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required


• Advance knowledge of financial and accounting software, word processing software, spreadsheet software, asset/liability software, database software, internet and other accounting software


• Prolog GL (FiServ) Experience
