Job summary

RBC in New York seeks a Vice President to lead Asset Backed Securities structuring. You will develop models, structure transactions across asset classes, and work with rating agencies to obtain ratings. The role includes supporting deal marketing and providing analytics for pitches and RFPs.

You will also assist in valuations, identify operational risks, and ensure adherence to firm policies. A strong background in ABS, licenses, and advanced Excel/VBA skills are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Asset Backed Securities or related experience.
• Familiarity with Term and Conduit ABS products.
• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance.
• Series 7, 63 & 79 licenses.
• Previous transaction execution experience across asset classes.
• Self-starter in fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong programming, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Fluency in ABS documents and related criteria.

Responsibilities

• Develop and utilize models to structure term ABS transactions and interact with rating agencies.
• Provide analytical support for pitch books/presentations/RFPs and enhance internal modeling tools.
• Assist in asset valuations and trade analyses for securitization and other opportunities.
• Identify operational risks and control deficiencies proactively.
• Review and comply with Firm Policies relevant to business activities.
• Escalate risk events to line manager and risk functions promptly.
