Job summary

Trident-Solutions is seeking a Voorwood Operator to set up and run the laminating/profile-wrapping line for wood profile components. You will load substrates, adjust temperatures and pressures, and ensure defect-free finishes according to tickets and specifications.

The role requires attention to detail, routine machine maintenance, and adherence to safety standards on a manufacturing floor. Prior experience with Voorwood or similar equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Set up and operate the Voorwood laminating/profile-wrapping machine to apply foils, veneers, or laminate materials.
• Read and interpret job tickets and specifications to select correct materials and machine settings.
• Inspect finished parts for adhesion, alignment, surface quality, and dimensional accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the Voorwood laminating/profile-wrapping machine to apply foils, veneers, or laminate materials to millwork and wood profile components.
• Load substrate profiles and laminate/foil rolls, adjusting feed rates, temperature, and pressure to achieve a consistent finish.
• Inspect finished parts for proper adhesion, alignment, surface quality, and dimensional accuracy; remove defective pieces.
• Perform routine machine adjustments, cleaning, and preventive maintenance to keep the machine running smoothly.
• Troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions and notify maintenance or supervisor for issues beyond routine fixes.
• Maintain accurate production counts, material usage, and scrap/waste records for each run.
• Stage, stack, and transport finished components to the next stage using proper handling methods.
• Follow all safety procedures and keep a clean, organized work area around the machine.
• Communicate production status, material needs, and quality issues to the shift supervisor.
