VolunteerNow VolyService Partner Relations VISTA

As one of the largest volunteer hubs in the United States, VolunteerNow builds proven platforms and innovative, research-backed solutions to advance volunteerism as essential community infrastructure giving any nonprofit, regardless of size or resources, the tools to deploy volunteers effectively and at scale. VolunteerNow’s portfolio consists of five solutions, helping people rally together to unleash powerful change. For three decades, VolunteerNow has walked alongside individuals fulfilling court mandates. More than 50,000 volunteers have contributed over 2 million service hours across North Texas, strengthening nonprofits and supporting neighbors in need. Research shows that over half (53.2%) of VolyService participants report household income under $30,000/year, and more than a third (37.2%) report under $20,000. VolyService matches probationers with eligible nonprofits, communicates with probation officers, validates hours, and provides case management throughout the service journey. VolyService is where court-mandated service becomes a pathway to community good. VolyService supports around 2,500 people a year managing court mandated obligations alongside real financial constraints. VolyService is addressing this poverty need by providing job readiness through volunteer service, providing one of the only opportunities for participants to serve in structured, mentored environments in which they can build and practice workplace-relevant competencies.

Member Duties

The VolyService Partner Relations VISTA will increase capacity of VolunteerNow by increasing the reach and effectiveness of partner agencies to the program by creating standardized processes for recruitment, communication and evaluating supporting partner agencies. Research the existing VolyService program, including the client intake process and the partner agency outreach process to gain understanding of existing VolyService programs. Gather historical records on VolyService to write a cohesive narrative that outlines the history from inception to present of VolyService. Evaluate existing agency partnerships engagement with VolyService. Conduct a needs assessment to understand the needs and wants of stakeholders for programming. Collaborate with VoyService Capacity Building VISTA to create a formal, documented pipeline for evaluating, recruiting and onboarding partner agencies. Create toolkit to strengthen recruitment of new partner agencies. This position will serve fully in-person.
