VolunteerNow VolyService Capacity Building VISTA

VolunteerNow’s portfolio consists of five solutions, helping people rally together to unleash powerful change. For three decades, VolunteerNow has walked alongside individuals fulfilling court mandates. More than 50,000 volunteers have contributed over 2 million service hours across North Texas, strengthening nonprofits and supporting neighbors in need. Research shows that over half (53.2%) of VolyService participants report household income under $30,000/year, and more than a third (37.2%) report under $20,000. VolyService matches probationers with eligible nonprofits, communicates with probation officers, validates hours, and provides case management throughout the service journey. VolyService is where court-mandated service becomes a pathway to community good. VolyService supports around 2,500 people a year managing court mandated obligations alongside real financial constraints. VolyService is addressing this poverty need by providing job readiness through volunteer service, providing one of the only opportunities for participants to serve in structured, mentored environments in which they can build and practice workplace-relevant competencies.

Member Duties :

The VolunteerNow VolyService Capacity Building VISTA will increase capacity by creating standardized processes, increase efficiency and showcase impact. Create a standardized, documented intake protocol, orientation experience, and ongoing support process to increase VolunteerNow’s effectiveness in supporting clients. Improve efficiency of VolyService by standardizing recordkeeping processes and completion letter processes for court and probation reporting. Audit existing VolyService process for logging approved service hours, issuing progress reports and completion documents, maintenance of participant records. Develop a documented process for onboarding partner agencies and evaluating their record in meeting requirements. Develop data into storytelling, info pics, content for annual report or other collateral, white papers and other published versions of outcomes. This position will serve fully in-person.
