FUNetix is a patented, science-based, and simplified way of teaching reading to children, available globally. The app is accessible via the App Store, Google Play, and Amazon App Store.

FUNetix, though 19 years old, is rooted in an ancient methodology using diacritics, a system developed over 2,000 years ago by the Greeks and adapted for Hebrew and Arabic. It systematically applies this to English, helping children map sounds to letters and letter combinations, simplifying decoding.

We are part of the American Youth Literacy Foundation, a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2008, dedicated to ensuring all children learn to read by the end of 3rd grade across America. Our mission is to eradicate illiteracy and promote educational parity using the FUNetix app.

The free app enables children to learn to read in about 12 hours of play. Despite the challenges in American public schools, millions of children struggle with reading, leading to high dropout rates and lifelong illiteracy.

Since 2008, we've proven our curriculum's effectiveness at scale. During the pandemic, we developed an immersive, narrated, animated, and gamified app that takes children from basic literacy to a second-grade level.

Our current goal is to expand our reach to children in failing schools or difficult home environments. We are seeking a skilled Webmaster to support this mission.

The Webmaster will ensure the FUNetix website is functional, user-friendly, visually appealing, and current. They will also support communication and resource sharing for diverse audiences.
