LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher to support LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis. The role involves delivering lessons using LifeWise materials, maintaining a safe classroom, and coordinating with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth class operation.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate mature Christian faith, active church involvement, and strong communication skills to engage students and collaborate with the LifeWise team.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized classroom following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program’s student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and report to the teacher.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers and coordinate with the teacher.

LifeWise substitute teachers will demonstrate excellence in Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is caring, perceptive and proficient in teaching students.

• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the "What We Believe" section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Job Description

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
  • Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
  • Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
  • Follow the program’s student discipline policy

  • Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher
