Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking qualified secondary teachers for grades 6-12 who demonstrate strong Bible knowledge and teaching ability. An active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills is preferred, with a committed, caring approach and proficiency in LifeWise curriculum.

Candidates must complete the LifeWise Teacher Certification Course within 30 days of start, participate in the annual LifeWise Summit, and engage with teachers’ lounges or Meet-Ups yearly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training: complete the LifeWise Teacher Certification Course within 30 days and participate in annual LifeWise Summit.
• Attend at least one Teachers' Lounge or LifeWise Meet-Up per year and stay updated via LifeWise email.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using LifeWise curriculum and map curriculum customization.
• Maintain accurate student attendance and class rosters and prepare substitute lesson plans.
• Create an organized, engaging classroom environment with redemptive discipline and prioritize student engagement.
• Communicate as LifeWise Academy ambassador, attend events, and maintain dialogue with school personnel for schedule updates.
