Job summary

The Humane Society for Southwest Washington in Longview is seeking a Volunteer Services Coordinator to join our team. This full-time, nonexempt role supports onboarding, scheduling, and engagement for a large volunteer base, with occasional weekend/evening duties to cover events and programs.

You’ll collaborate with the Volunteer Manager and across departments to ensure smooth onboarding, program execution, and mission-driven community building for animals and people in Southwest Washington.

Qualifications

• Experience using conflict resolution with positive outcomes.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with computer systems and volunteer software.
• Analytical mindset to leverage data for problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Assist with onboarding and supporting a 500+ volunteer team.
• Respond to email requests and schedule volunteers.
• Provide onboarding and hand-off support to department supervisors.
• Troubleshoot volunteer software and scheduling issues.
• Help with volunteer events, orientations, and trainings.
