Job summary

Liliʻuokalani Trust is seeking a Coordinator, Volunteer Program to engage, recruit, train, and support volunteers across LT program locations. The role ensures volunteers are integrated into assignments, recognized for their contributions, and aligned with LT’s mission and values.

The position reports to the Managing Director, Policy and Practice, and collaborates with teams to meet volunteer needs. Travel to program sites may be required to support activities and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, human resources, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in volunteer coordination or program support, preferably in a youth-serving organization.
• Familiarity with volunteer management software and scheduling tools.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of volunteers and staff.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate volunteer assignments across program locations based on program and operational needs.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteer inquiries, onboarding, and scheduling.
• Maintain accurate volunteer records and track hours for reporting and recognition.
• Conduct volunteer orientation and training sessions.
• Support volunteer recruitment efforts through community outreach and events.
• Assist in developing and updating volunteer service descriptions and SOPs.
