Description

Snow King Mountain Resort is an iconic mountain resort located in the heart of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It offers summer and winter family-friendly attractions. The Snow King Team seeks individuals passionate about the outdoors, eager to learn, and committed to excellent service.

Job Description

This volunteer position offers benefits to those volunteering at least 20 days during the winter season. Responsibilities include greeting guests, providing information about mountain operations, and assisting at various resort locations. Working on snow requires physical skills, awareness, and annual snow skills assessments. Helmets are required for on-snow work, and hosts may participate in on-mountain events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide a friendly and welcoming contact point for guests
  • Greet skiers, riders, and groups
  • Inform guests about mountain operations, facilities, and activities
  • Work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Work in various weather conditions
  • Distribute informational materials as needed
  • Assist at assigned resort areas
  • Work independently when necessary
  • Anticipate and resolve guest needs
  • Know emergency procedures
  • Conduct mountain tours for guests
  • Support other mountain departments to enhance service delivery
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to answer questions effectively
  • Additional language skills a plus
  • Intermediate or expert skiing/riding skills preferred but not required
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Friendly and tactful personality
