Nurtured TX is a small, dedicated nonprofit organization focused on connecting Texans to high-quality perinatal mental health care, education, and resources. We nurture support, hope, and recovery for those navigating perinatal mental health disorders (PMHDs). Our vision is a Texas where perinatal mental health support is nurtured before, during, and after pregnancy.

Position Overview:

Are you passionate about using social media to drive change and raise awareness around perinatal mental health? Nurtured TX is looking for a creative and proactive Volunteer Marketing Specialist to help us engage our community and amplify our mission through social media. You’ll work closely with our team to develop content that informs, educates, and encourages action, all while promoting mental health advocacy.

In this role, you'll manage and create content for Facebook and Instagram, monitor engagement, support campaigns aimed at fostering community connection, and assist in shaping the overall marketing strategy to grow our impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Content Creation & Strategy: Develop and schedule engaging posts for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn aligned with our mission and strategic goals.
• Campaign Management: Plan, implement, and evaluate social media campaigns to raise awareness and drive community engagement.
• Engagement & Community Building: Monitor and respond to comments and messages, fostering a supportive online community.
• Increasing Visibility & Growing Followers: Implement strategies to increase Nurtured TX’s social media visibility, attract new followers, and grow our online community.
• Data Analysis: Track and analyze social media metrics to assess performance, optimize content strategies, and inform future campaigns.
• Collaboration & Brainstorming: Work closely with the team to brainstorm, develop, and implement creative social media campaigns.
• Brand Consistency: Ensure all content adheres to Nurtured TX’s brand voice and guidelines, maintaining a consistent and professional online presence.
• Fundraising Support: Assist in creating content that supports fundraising efforts, such as donation drives, event promotions, and partnership collaborations.
• Platform Management: Use tools like Hootsuite to schedule posts, track engagement, and ensure timely content distribution across multiple platforms.
• Trend Monitoring: Stay informed about trends in digital marketing, social media, and nonprofit advocacy, suggesting new approaches for engagement.

Qualifications:

• Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred.
• Passionate about perinatal mental health and using social media for advocacy and community change.
• Proficient in Facebook and Instagram; familiarity with LinkedIn and other platforms is a plus.
• Strong writing, communication, and storytelling skills with a creative mindset.
• Experience with Hootsuite or similar social media management tools is a bonus.
• Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to think strategically and analyze data to improve marketing effectiveness.
• Comfortable collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders in a nonprofit setting.
• Enthusiasm for learning and taking on new challenges in a fast-paced environment.

• This is an unpaid volunteer position.
• Flexible hours (approx. 2-4 hours per week).
