This unique opportunity allows you to contribute your skills from home while helping to create beautiful items for a gift shop that directly supports rescued animals. Join a community of compassionate individuals dedicated to making a difference in the lives of farm animals and wildlife. Your creativity can help foster compassion and support for those in need, all while doing something you love.
Founded in 2007, West Place Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides lifesaving care, love, and a permanent home to farm animals rescued from abuse, neglect, and cruelty. It is also a licensed wildlife rehabilitation center that assists sick, injured, and orphaned animals, releasing healthy wildlife back into their natural habitats. Additionally, it serves as the lost dog shelter for Tiverton and Little Compton. West Place has a network of over 75 volunteers providing essential animal care year-round, and offers unique humane education experiences to foster community compassion.
If you enjoy knitting or sewing, this volunteer opportunity is perfect for you. All activities can be done at home during your free time. We seek someone skilled in knitting to help create items like hats and scarves for our gift shop. If you can make other items or have new ideas, we welcome your contributions!
