Job summary

Appalachia Service Project Inc. in Jonesville, VA, seeks a full-time, exempt Southwest Virginia Volunteer Hospitality Coordinator to manage volunteer hospitality, partnerships, and seasonal programs.

Based in Jonesville, you will report to the Southwest Virginia Regional Director and oversee county setup, housing, and spiritual programming for volunteers. You will build community relations, coordinate logistics, and support summer program operations, staff training, and administrative tasks,

Qualifications

• Willingness to affirm and work within ASP's Christian mission and values.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with comfort speaking publicly.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn new software and technology.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
• Experience in volunteer management, event coordination or hospitality, community outreach, or nonprofit program coordination.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate volunteer records for planning, communication, and program reporting.
• Deliver meaningful hospitality and spiritual programming aligning volunteers with ASP's mission.
• Coordinate housing, meals, transportation, and site logistics for volunteers.
• Secure facility lease agreements to house volunteers and staff in Virginia counties; ensure housing meets standards.
• Develop community partnerships and oversee distribution of marketing materials and PR coordination.
