Job summary

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts (BBBSEM) is seeking a Program Services Coordinator - Youth Volunteer Enrollment to support the creation and sustenance of Big/Little relationships. You will interview interested parties, perform reference checks, review legal information, and prepare quality assessments to guide enrollment.

You will handle placement and ongoing support for volunteers and youth/families, with travel to sites and home visits as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ months of relevant work experience, or equivalent education.
• Willingness to travel across the Boston area to program sites and homes.
• Availability to work full-time, including evenings and weekends.
• Access to reliable internet and phone connections for remote work.
• Familiarity with Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Assess volunteers and families through interviews and reference checks.
• Coordinate the matching process and initial placements.
• Document all information accurately and maintain records.
• Advocate for volunteers and youth to secure placement options.
• Collaborate with staff to expand program reach and safety.
• Represent BBBSEM in communities and at events.
