Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a dedicated teacher to share gospel values with public school students using the LifeWise curriculum in a classroom setting. The role requires active church involvement and strong communication with students and parents.

The ideal candidate brings at least two years of classroom teaching experience and a mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise’s Statement of Faith. Training, regular participation in staff gatherings, and ongoing community engagement are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of classroom teaching experience with students in a school or church setting.
• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training: complete the LifeWise Teacher Certification Course within 30 days and attend LifeWise Summit annually.
• Teach LifeWise Classes: use the LifeWise curriculum to plan and map curriculum customization; teach curriculum in the classroom; build relationships with students and pray for them.
• Maintain Records: take attendance and provide records; manage class rosters including health concerns and permissions; prepare substitute materials.
• Maintain the Classroom: keep a clean, organized classroom; know emergency procedures; purchase supplies as needed.
• Communicate: act as LifeWise ambassador in the community; attend open houses and outreach events; keep in touch with school personnel and volunteers; share updates with the program director; promote LifeWise's religious mission.
