UC San Diego Health is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to provide operational oversight of volunteer recruitment, screening, orientation, training, and retention within the Department of Volunteer Services.
The role partners with hospital leadership and staff to interview, onboard and support volunteers, while leveraging the volunteer database for reporting, compliance and program evaluation. A Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of related experience is required.
This position is a limited position with the possibility of extension/career conversion.

Reporting to the Director of Experience Operations, the Volunteer Coordinator* provides operational and functional oversight of volunteer recruitment, screening, orientation, training, and retention. The coordinator serves as a departmental liaison for all inquiries from volunteers, staff, patients, and community members.The primary responsibility for this role will be to interview, onboard and support hospital volunteers.

Annual Full Pay Range: $57,100 - $96,700 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $27.35 - $46.31
