Job summary

Heart’n Soul Hospice in Memphis, TN seeks a Part-Time Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, train, and manage volunteers, ensuring compliance with hospice guidelines and local laws.

You will build community partnerships, maintain EMR records, and align the volunteer program with the IDG and leadership, while ensuring timely documentation and excellent public relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent education/training/experience.
• Experience in recruitment and management of volunteers.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with IDG and public.
• Working knowledge of volunteer program resources.
• Good communication, interpersonal and public relations skills.
• Experience with EMR software.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment of new volunteers.
• Training new volunteers on hospice philosophy, regulations, and job duties.
• Provides volunteers per the Hospice patient's Plan of Care.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws relating to recruitment, training and retention of volunteers.
• Develops the volunteer program with IDG and administration.
• Establishes a public relations program with volunteers and the community.
• Timely submission of all documentation.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Ensures compliance with Medicare regulations and personnel policies.

What You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Experience in recruitment & management of volunteers, preferred

• Working knowledge of volunteer program resources
• Demonstrates good communication, interpersonal, and public relations skills

• Current driver's license, reliable transportation, and provide ongoing valid and current auto liability insurance
