Primary Responsibilities

Serve as a liaison between hospice and volunteers, developing and promoting volunteer programs, and maximizing resources to meet patient and family needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; college degree preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in volunteer recruitment and management, preferably in hospice or healthcare settings

Skills

• Effective relationship-building with team members and the community
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and email applications
• Strong presentation and training skills
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Office-based with local travel for recruiting and community events. Ability to work flexible hours, handle stressful situations calmly, and work in various weather conditions.

Essential Functions

• Recruit, train, and coordinate hospice volunteers
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Develop and maintain volunteer programs in collaboration with staff
• Monitor volunteer activities and adherence to care plans
• Promote agency philosophy and foster good community relations
• Complete required documentation and reports timely
• Plan and coordinate hospice memorial services
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
