Pet Meals on Wheels Volunteer Coordinator

Pets provide unconditional love and emotional support to some of our community's most vulnerable, including the unhoused. In honor of that bond, the OHS Pet Meals-on-Wheels (PMOW) program was created to help pet owners care for and keep their animals, regardless of circumstance. We pack and distribute pet food and supplies weekly from our site in Fremont, CA, partnering with local food banks, shelters, and outreach groups to deliver directly to low-income and unhoused individuals throughout the Tri-City area.

Responsibilities include:

• Helping volunteers feel informed, supported, and appreciated
• Reviewing and processing volunteer applications (1-5/month)

Ohlone Humane Society is a nonprofit animal welfare organization serving the Tri-City area in the East Bay. We care for animals and the community through humane programs and services.
