Job summary

Heart to Heart Hospice in Texas is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to lead recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing support for volunteers. You will coordinate training on hospice philosophy, regulatory requirements, and job duties, ensuring volunteers are aligned with patient plans of care.

You will build collaborative relationships with the IDG and community partners, establish public relations programs, and ensure timely documentation while maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent education, training, and experience
  • Experience in recruitment and management of volunteers
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the IDG and the lay and professional public
  • Working knowledge of volunteer program resources
  • Demonstrates good communication, interpersonal, and public relations skills
  • Experience with EMR software
  • Current driver's license, reliable transportation, and provide ongoing valid and current auto liability insurance

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment of new volunteers
  • Training new volunteers on hospice philosophy, regulations, and job duties
  • Provides volunteers per the Hospice patient's Plan of Care
  • Demonstrates knowledge of, and ensures compliance with, all local, state and federal laws relating to the recruitment, training & retention of volunteers
  • Develops the volunteer program through collaboration with the IDG and administration personnel
  • Establishes a public relations program to foster good working relations with the volunteers & the community
  • Timely submission of all documentation
  • Performance of other duties as required
  • Ensure overall compliance with local, state and federal laws, Medicare regulations, and established personnel policies and procedures
