Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with the Statement of Faith.
• CDL driver's license with endorsement for passenger vehicle (P) required.
• Three years licensed continuous requirement.
• Commercial CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (P) required; school bus endorsement preferred.
• Age 21–80; drivers over 75 must submit CDL copy and P endorsement yearly.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in 5 years.
• Background check through LifeWise Academy.
• Drug/alcohol testing as required (pre-employment, random, post-accidents).
• Medical statements underwriter-approved as needed.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children.
• Enforce safety rules for students.
• Assist students entering or exiting the vehicle.
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor.
• Be aware of students needing help or misbehavior.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if agreed with the director.
