Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Salem, OH is seeking substitute teachers who demonstrate a mature Christian faith and strong communication skills to support gospel-centered instruction.

As a substitute teacher you will complete training, deliver LifeWise lessons, maintain a safe and engaging classroom, and keep attendance and records as required, while representing the LifeWise community with integrity.

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the lesson plans using LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Maintain attendance records and provide them to the teacher
• Keep a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom and know emergency procedures
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community and communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class
• Communicate with the teacher about class needs and expectations
