Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio seeks substitute teachers who model a mature Christian faith and strong communication with students.

You will deliver LifeWise lessons, maintain a safe, organized classroom, and collaborate with teachers and volunteers; serve as a local ambassador and uphold LifeWise policies.

This position requires active church participation and alignment with our Statement of Faith. No guaranteed hours; responsibilities include attendance tracking and maintaining classroom order.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergency situations.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.
