Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a dedicated Bible teacher for grades 6–12 who will bring in-depth Bible knowledge and strong teaching skills to a classroom of engaged students. The ideal candidate is an active church participant, communicates effectively, and models a caring, faith-centered approach while using LifeWise curriculum to guide lessons and build relationships with students.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience in either a school or church setting
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training: complete certification within 30 days, participate in LifeWise Summit, attend Teachers' Lounge or Meet-Up annually, check LifeWise email for updates
• Teach LifeWise Classes: plan lessons with LifeWise curriculum, apply policies, implement age-appropriate plans, invest in relationships and prayer with students, maintain organized, redemptive classroom environment, prioritize student engagement
• Maintain Records: keep accurate attendance, rosters including health concerns and permission slips, prepare materials for substitutes
• Maintain the Classroom: foster a culture of learning and spiritual growth, keep a clean and orderly classroom, know emergency procedures, purchase supplies as needed
• Communicate: act as an ambassador, attend events, liaison with school personnel and volunteers, provide updates and photos to program director, promote LifeWise mission
