Job summary

Push Operations is seeking part-time seasonal League Coordinators in Columbus, OH. You will manage league nights and tournaments, ensuring safety, organization, and a welcoming atmosphere for players and captains during April through October, 2-3 evenings per week.

You will coordinate with the League Director, run the night, verify scores, announce schedules, and help players understand the venue. Previous experience in event coordination is helpful, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Arrive before league play and review the night's schedule.
• Make sure courts, nets, lines and necessary equipment are ready.
• Know the night's matchups and court assignments.
• Make clear announcements.
• Ensure matches start and finish on time.
• Monitor matches that are running behind.
• Record/verify scores and results.
• Communicate schedule changes or issues to players.
• Report results and unresolved issues to the League Director.
• Be visible and approachable throughout the night.
• Answer routine questions from players and captains.
• Help new players understand where to go and how things work.
• Resolve routine disagreements calmly and consistently.
• Enforce VolleyPark rules professionally.
• Escalate significant disputes rather than allowing them to become confrontations.
• Monitor court safety and playability.
• Address obvious court/equipment issues.
• Coordinate with other employees when operational problems arise.
• Help ensure the facility remains presentable.
• Conduct/assist with the draw.
• Create teams/matchups.
• Manage court assignments.
• Keep tournament play moving.
• Track results.
• Help create an energetic, social tournament atmosphere.
• The coordinators may share responsibility for our Saturday Blind Draw Tournaments on a rotational basis.

Role Purpose

League Coordinators are responsible for delivering an organized, safe, welcoming and fun league experience during assigned league nights and tournaments.

The coordinators work closely with the League Director who prepares the league. A coordinator's primary responsibility is execution. The League Coordinator runs the league night.

Primary Responsibilities

League Night Management

• Arrive before league play and review the night's schedule.
• Make sure courts, nets, lines and necessary equipment are ready.
• Know the night's matchups and court assignments.
• Make clear announcements.
